What's this page for? You guessed it right. This page is a primer on online dating. While online dating is old hat to most, a few simple things right in the beginning won't hurt any one. Online Dating is not the real thing. It is akin from dating. Just as dating, online dating has its do's and don'ts, and they are different. Follow these rules and all is fine. Don't follow them and you will rue it.
The first rule is that online dating can never be risk free. You can at best reduce the risk.

If you are a nubile 16 year old girl with a good looking but sexed up and mixed up computer geek at the other end, you could be in trouble. Big trouble. At best Online Dating is about lessening risks using common sense.
See you start by meet someone online, in an e-mail exchange, in a chat site room or lobby, or were introduced or discovered each other in a chat room or just bumped into one another or blindly Instant Messaged the other person. In online dating, A says hello to B and B asks about A. So starts a relationship between two chat ids of two individuals of indeterminable sex, age, physical and mental condition, in same or different time zones, in different circumstances, between two IP addresses that may be known or unknown to one or both. Got it?
You will have to take a call if your new found “ friend “ is honest, means honesty with you absolutely or relatively, how long and in what fashion..( honesty often crumbles with time and goodies that awaits ) with just your name please and moves onto cell nos...and a kiss please...you are getting the gist now...so you got to decide what u want to do when online dating.
To us the first stage of online dating comprises of feeling each other by text, honestly or dishonestly by showering accolades to break emotional defenses, by trying to determine IP addresses and break in as a hacker does (at least if you have to get into trouble do so with a personal computer or laptop that has no data on it and is not on a network. Talk to your office system guy and ask him to ensure the system you use is commonly fine for chat activities)
In further chatting, you will be getting personal emotional handles on each other, talking in gay abandon, relaxed...you kind of trust the other person now. One or both of you may try to turn the conversation around to topics of their interest such as romance and more serious things (but not golfing or knitting). The dalliance is in right earnest.
In stage two, it could be e-mails, pictures and mushy attachments, other forms of mush (not yet flowers though, you not yet moved to where you stay and... hope you never do!), video chat, romance video chat, role play and sometimes sex video chat...in online dating, you can decide how high you want to climb (and hope not how low you want to fall).
Usually most affairs fructify in online terms with stage 2 and it is not advised that you should go further. But you think you and he or she are in love and all things nice, stage three will mean phone chats and flowers and chocolates and in stage four, you may end up next. At all stages, measure and avoid the risks we talked about so much. In online dating, we haven't researched further so keep us informed.
